2021
The Board of Investments (BOI) approved the CHRG Electric Vehicle Technologies, Inc as a new domestic producer of electric vehicles (EV) fast chargers and retrofit kits on a non-pioneer status under the current Investments Priorities Plan listing of Innovation Drivers.
OUR HISTORY
2013
The mission to provide electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging solutions to the Philippine market started in 2013, through a DOST-funded project called Rapid Electric Vehicle Charging - Charging in Minutes (CharM).
The initial R&D of CharM was hosted by the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute of UP Diliman.
2015
Rapid Electric Vehicle Charging - Charging in Minutes (CharM) won the Most Outstanding R&D Award in 2015 by DOST PCIEERD in the Energy, Utilities and Systems category.
2017
The first commercial EV charging station in the country was established in Cauayan City, Isabela to service local E-Trikes. This is part of the City Government’s vision for a “Smarter and More Progressive City”.
2019
CHRG EV Technologies Inc. started its commercial operations as a spin-off company from the University of the Philippines.
The establishment of CHRG INC is also jumpstarted by the FASTRAC program of DOST-PCIEERD.
2020
CHRG's efforts to provide EV fast-charging solutions continued through multiple deployments all over Luzon.
The company, in cooperation with the E-Mobility Group, also extended their support to help the fight against Covid-19 through relief operations, PPE fabrication, and special transport services.
2023
CHRG EV Technologies Inc. has been included on the Department of Energy (DOE)'s list of Accredited EVCS Providers, under the DOE Department Circular No. DC2023-05-0011 – EVCS Providers Accreditation and EVCS Registration Guidelines

OUR TEAM
The company was founded by a group of Electronics Engineers with expertise on power electronics, battery technology, electric vehicle systems, renewable energy and microcontroller systems. Through the technology transfer efforts of the University of the Philippines as well as DOST PCIEERD, the team was able to translate the technology into a commercial solution in service of the Philippine EV Industry.
